Tonight's dinner is some great chilli chicken curry so I decided to share the tasty family recipe for it. ENJOY
Ingredients
1 kg chicken
2 medium sized onions
3 cloves
1 tbsp garlic paste
2 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
2 black cardamom
1 tbsp ginger paste
Vegetable oil
3 big tomatoes
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
1 tsp Garam masala
Steps
1. Put the oil in a thick based pan, heat the oil then and add the cloves, black cardamom and the cinnamon stick. Next put in the garlic paste and fry for 2-3 mins.
2. Add chopped onions and fry them until golden brown.
3. Add the chicken and fry the chicken until it turns brown.
4. Put in tomatoes and fry until soft.
5. Add water, enough to cover the chicken, turmeric, cumin powder, salt, chilli powder and ginger paste, then bring to the boil
6. Cover the pan and reduce the heat, cook for 40 mins. Once the chicken has cooked add garam masala and plate up.
Enjoy with naan bread or rice.
